Nelson & District Hospice Society is really pleased to be starting a group to support parents whose children have died. It does not matter how recently or long ago this loss has occurred, Nelson Hospice recognizes that this loss become a mark on our heart that can always be shared with those who have experienced similar losses. This safe, facilitated group will support the process of grieving and the day to day living of those experiencing this loss.
The group will meet for 6 weeks beginning on November 15 and will not only provide peer support and companioning through grief, but also some resources that can help for accessing self-care, managing through the grieving process and coping with day to day life.
As with all of their grief groups, this group is offered for free. Participants are required to commit to attendance for the 6 weeks that the group is offered. Contact 250-352-2337 or email info@nelsonhospice.org to register.
