My husband and I moved from Yellowknife in 1974, and we started our family here. I found part-time work with Kaslo Home Support and doing private cleaning before I applied at Pennywise In 1983. Two of the staff were going on maternity leave, and I got the job…. suddenly I was pretty well-doing everything, from sales, designing, and typesetting on the Compugraphic – those were the days of stinky ink and sticky pictures… ‘cause we used wax to secure things and just as often it was to your foot.
