Interested in helping to build compassionate caring communities? Interested in helping make “life more livable” for persons living with declining health due to life-limiting illness? Do you have 2-3 hours a week to connect with someone in your community? Be a Nav-CARE Volunteer Navigator!

Nav-CARE is a free, innovative volunteer outreach program designed to support older persons in our community with daily living challenges. Volunteer Navigators receive training before being matched with clients and ongoing mentorship throughout their time with the program. A Nav-CARE volunteer often:

  • Provides a friendly ear and encouragement to those in need
  • Helps individuals and families find services or resources that make their lives easier
  • Works with individuals and families to describe what is most important to them
