We’ve heard the phrases ‘shop local’ and ‘food security’ but what does it really mean to support your local farmers and craft makers? 

It means patience: waiting for the next market day before you purchase that new toque, a pottery cup, a pair of mitts, a dozen eggs, seeds, soap, honey, a necklace, smoked meat, perogies, greeting cards, or preserves. 

You’ll find these at Taghum Hall’s Winter Markets where only local vendors with homemade or hand produced products are accepted. Come see for yourself. Market dates are Saturdays, February 16 and March 16 and Sunday, April 21, from 10 am to 3 pm.
