Credit Clinic Offers Free Workshops To Groups

Do you have a group that meets regularly that might be interested in a presentation on debt or credit matters? Does your organization work with people who are struggling with debt? The Kootenay Boundary Credit Clinic is now offering free, customized presentations on debt, credit and money management to groups throughout the region.

Credit Clinic workshops cover topics such as the different types of credit available, credit cards, payday loans, student loans, debt management, communicating with creditors, debt collection, legal issues related to debt, bankruptcy and taking charge of your finances.

ÒOur goal is to make information on the ins and outs of debt and credit as widely available as possible,Ó says Clinic Coordinator Amy Taylor. ÒPartnering with other groups is a perfect way to reach out to even more people.Ó

In addition to providing custom presentations, the Credit Clinic offers free workshops to the general public and one-on-one consultations. For more information, contact Amy Taylor at 1-877-565-0013 or info@kbcredit.org.

The clinic is a non-profit service. It is a project of Castlegar and District Community Services Society and is funded by the Law Foundation of BC, Columbia Basin Trust, Kootenay Savings and Nelson and District Credit Union.
